History

Katherine joined Sound Venture Productions in 1985 as a Partner/Producer/Director.  She has crafted well over 350 hours of  award-winning programming that aired many networks.  Some including CTV, Global/Canwest, CBC, HGTV (US & Canada), Bravo (US & Canada), OLN, YTV, and Treehouse.

She has garnered many awards for her work including; A Gemini for Best Pre-School for The Toy Castle. “The Award of Excellence” from The Alliance for Children and Television for “Painting Pictures” and “Get A Life”. The YMCA Women of Distinction Award, The Canadian Nurses Association – Media Award for “ANGELS OF MERCY”, the ITVA Golden Maple Award for “REMEMBRANCE DAY”, Profiles of Women in Progress Award – Washington DC for “SURVIVING THE FEAR”.

Today

Pursing her passion as an innovative content creator and visual artist has been a huge step for Katherine. She sold her shares in Sound Venture Productions in 2014 after a very successful and more than 25 year career in film and television to pursue her passion as an innovative video, social media content creator and visual artist.

“Film and TV is a collaborative process involving many talented people and complicated layers of financing and waiting.   I am grateful to have worked with some of the finest artists in our industry.   Today, I  apply my skills to the evolving world of new media and art”.
